Never lose a playlist.
Back up your playlist with the tap of a button. Paste a playlist link, enter your email, and a spreadsheet copy of every track arrives in your inbox. That's the whole process. It's the track list (titles, artists, albums), never the audio files. Your music stays on Spotify, where it belongs. The copy stays with you.
Tracks go grey. Backups don't.
Playlists take years to build. They can disappear in seconds: tracks go grey and vanish when licensing deals change, playlists get deleted by accident, accounts get locked. A spreadsheet copy is something you actually own, stored somewhere you already trust: your own inbox.
A real backup, opened in Excel. Every column you see ships in every backup.
Music nerds who love data.
Sound Recipe is an independent app from music nerds who love data and love music. We're not trying to move you anywhere; we just want to make sure you always have your own copy of the playlists you've built. Your music, written down, in a spreadsheet that's yours forever. When every playlist has a backup sitting in your inbox, you never have to wonder what if. Back up, relax, press play.
Four steps. No login.
Sound Recipe detects a playlist link already on your clipboard, so most of the time step two is a single tap.
- STEP 1
Copy a playlist link
Any public Spotify playlist. Share → Copy link.
- STEP 2
Paste it into Sound Recipe
The app spots the link on your clipboard for you.
- STEP 3
Enter your email address
Used to send your backup, and nothing else.
- STEP 4
Your backup arrives
Every track in a sortable spreadsheet: titles, artists, album details and links.
Ten seconds, start to inbox.
No login to back up a playlist.
No Spotify password, ever
Backing up a playlist never requires a Spotify login. There is no OAuth prompt, no password and no account linking. The app only needs a public playlist link.
Your email is for your backup
Your email address is used to send your backup and nothing else. Your data is never sold. There is no advertising SDK and no third-party tracking.
Private playlists, handled
Sound Recipe works with public playlists. If a playlist is private, make it public in Spotify, back it up, and switch it back afterwards.
A history that stays on your device
The app keeps a history of the playlists you have backed up, on your device, where it belongs.
Built by a music data nerd,
